Dr. Balraj Mavi

Dr. Balraj Mavi is a UK-trained Family Physician who graduated with Distinction in Medicine from the University of Nottingham, where he also earned a First Class Honours degree in Medical Sciences. He completed comprehensive General Practice training in the UK with extensive hospital rotations in urology, stroke and geriatric medicine, emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, and respiratory medicine. This broad foundation supports confident management of women’s health, children’s health, mental health, acute presentations, and complex chronic disease.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes and has particular expertise in diabetes and cardiometabolic medicine, including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring interpretation, lipid optimisation, and obesity management. He also maintains a special interest in urology and men’s health.

Dr. Mavi previously served as Clinical Director for a large Primary Care Network overseeing approximately 50,000 patients. In this leadership role, he led population-level health campaigns in diabetes, lipid management, renal risk reduction, cancer screening, and vaccination programmes, helping improve preventative care and chronic disease outcomes at scale.

In addition to comprehensive family medicine, he performs office-based procedures including large and small joint injections, soft tissue injections, skin excisions, cryotherapy, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Mavi has delivered education locally and nationally to healthcare professionals on diabetes and cardiometabolic medicine. He is known for clear communication, preventative focus, and evidence-based decision-making to support long-term health for individuals and families.

Dr. Maria Khan

Dr. Maria Khan is a board-certified Family Physician who is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized care to patients of all ages. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto through the Southlake Family Health Team and is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).

With over eight years of clinical experience in Canada and Pakistan, Dr. Khan has cared for patients in family medicine, paediatrics, emergency medicine, and community health settings. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and believes that the best healthcare begins with listening, trust, and shared decision-making.

Dr. Khan provides a full spectrum of family medicine services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health care, women’s health, paediatric care, and care for seniors. She has a special interest in women’s health and menopause management and has completed extensive gynaecology electives during her residency. She also performs a variety of office procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, joint injections, suturing, Pap tests, vaccinations, and wound care.

Known for her warm and approachable nature, Dr. Khan strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their health. She values culturally sensitive care and is fluent in English, Urdu, Pashto, and Hindko, with conversational Punjabi, allowing her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Khan is actively involved in medical education and research. She has supervised medical students, contributed to research in primary care and mental health, and remains committed to lifelong learning and evidence-based medicine to provide the highest quality care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Khan enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and exploring nature. She values maintaining a healthy work-life balance and believes that wellness extends beyond the clinic into every aspect of life.
