What Are Uninsured Services?
At Clockwork Health Group, some medical and administrative services are not covered by public health insurance or a third-party insurer and therefore require direct payment by the patient or requesting organization. These are commonly referred to as uninsured services.
Uninsured services are typically requested for employment, travel, legal or administrative purposes, or when provincial health coverage does not apply.
1. Medical & Physical Documentation
We can provide documentation required for various purposes. These may include:
- School, camp, college, or university physical exam forms
- Commercial driver medicals
- Sick notes, back-to-work notes
- Disability tax credit forms
- Immigration medical letters or certificates
- Insurance-related forms and reports
- Attending Physician Statements (APS)
2. Travel-Related and Specialty Services
Some services related to travel or special clearances may not be insured:
- Travel cancellation insurance certificates
- Travel-related immunizations per dose
- Driver’s road test medical requirements
- Letters/certifications for international travel
3. Other Uninsured Services
Below are additional services that typically fall outside public coverage and may incur direct fees:
- Ear irrigation/cleaning
- Wart or skin tag removal
- Private consultations for non-insured patients
- Missed appointment or late cancellation fees
- Immunization/TB testing for non-insured uses
- Photocopying medical records or chart transfers
